WEDOLiT FN 6160-90

High performance forming oil

WEDOLiT FN 6160-90 is a water-insoluble, chlorinated lubricant for deep drawing and other cold forming operations, e.g. wire drawing, extrusion, or thread forming of steel and stainless steel. The undiluted product is usually applied by flooding, spraying, brushes, or by means of rollers.

  • Stable load carrying capacity and a homogenous sliding behavior
  • Reduces friction and wear and thus contributes to a high tool life
  • Outstanding wetting ability and film formation without adhesion
  • Stable cold start behavior, prevents stick-slip and chatter
  • Leads to clean surfaces and contributes to achieve dimensional accuracy
  • Easily removable with organic solvents or alkaline industrial cleaners

WEDOLiT FN 8830

Special forming oil

WEDOLiT FN 8830 is a chlorine free, pasty, water-insoluble lubricant for cold forming processes (e.g. pilgering) of high alloyed steels. The product is usually applied on the outer diameter by brushes or by means of rollers.

  • Stable load carrying capacity and a homogenous sliding behavior
  • Reduces friction and wear and thus contributes to a high tool life
  • The outstanding extreme-pressure properties combined with an exceptional adhesion offers the possibility for high degrees of deformation
  • Stable cold start behavior, prevents stick-slip and chatter
  • Contributes to achieving dimensional accuracy
  • Pigments will remain on the surface after annealing and need to be removed (e.g. by pickling with HCl or HNO3) before further processing

WEDOLiT CS 8208

Water-miscible, fully synthetic coolant

WEDOLiT CS 8208 is suitable for ultrasonic testing systems. The product is also suitable for the manufacturing of welded steel tubes. It fulfils the requirements regarding lubrication and cleanliness of the tubes and rollers as well as the corrosion protection of the tubes and the system (in a concentration of 5 - 10%). Not suitable for the manufacturing of workpieces made of zinc, aluminum and their alloys.

  • Offers high cooling- and flushing properties with a very good wetting behavior
  • Contributes to a high tool life
  • Very good application stability
  • Almost free of foam
  • Offers a good skin compatibility
  • Due to its thermal stability, the product can be used in almost the whole process chain of welded tubes (forming, welding, calibration, sawing)

WEDOLiT FN 1190-2300

High-performance forming oil

WEDOLiT FN 1190-2300 is a highly viscous, chlorine containing forming oil for tube drawing and other cold forming operations of stainless steel. The undiluted product is usually applied by brushes or by means of rollers.

  • Stable load carrying capacity and a homogenous sliding behavior
  • Reduces friction and wear and thus contributes to a high tool life
  • Outstanding wetting ability and film formation without adhesion
  • Stable cold start behavior, prevents stick-slip and chatter
  • Leads to clean surfaces and contributes to achieving dimensional accuracy
  • Easily removable with organic solvents or alkaline industrial cleaners
  • Soluble in chlorinated hydrocarbons

WEDOLiT FN 1571-2800

Drawing Brass and Copper Tubes

WEDOLiT FN 1571-2800 is a highly viscous, water-insoluble lubricant for tube drawing and other cold forming processes of aluminum and non-ferrous metals.

  • Leads to clean surfaces and contributes to achieve dimensional accuracy
  • Easily removable with organic solvents or alkaline industrial cleaners
  • Evaporates at temperatures T ≥ 572°F, (300°C) without leaving any residues or stains on the metal surface. Therefore, no preliminary degreasing is necessary before a potential soft annealing

WEDOLiT FN 8850-90

Drawing small diameter tubes, diesel injection

WEDOLiT FN 8850-90 is a medium viscous, water-insoluble lubricant for tube drawing and other cold forming operations of steel. Due to the fact that the product also offers corrosion protection, no additional treatment is necessary (for short term storage). The undiluted product is usually applied by spraying, brushes, or by means of rollers.

WEDOLiT FS 4710

Solvent base for aluminum stamping 158°F (70°C)

WEDOLiT FS 4710 is a low viscous, solvent-based lubricant for stamping and forming operations of steel, aluminum and non-ferrous metals. The undiluted product is usually applied by spraying, flooding, brushes, or by means of rollers.

  • Good spreading behavior, which leads to a uniform wetting of the metal surface
  • Stable load carrying capacity and a homogenous sliding behavior
  • Reduces friction and wear and thus contributes to a high tool life
  • Leads to clean surfaces and contributes to achieving dimensional accuracy
  • If the product is finely dispersed, it evaporates after a short time without leaving any residue. Therefore, an additional cleaning step is not necessary. Otherwise, it is easily removable with organic solvents or alkaline industrial cleaners

WEDOLiT FW 1960

Soap for tube drawing operations

WEDOLiT FW 1960 is a water-soluble alkaline soap for heavy drawing operations of steel tubes. The product is usually used as an immersion bath (bath temperature 167 - 194 °F, (75 – 90 °C)).

  • The product is designed to react with the zinc phosphate layer (which acts as lubricant) to form a zinc soap. The zinc phosphate layer should be at least 4 μm (at heavy forming operations, e.g. cold extrusion, up to 10 μm). Due to specific additives, a maximum conversion of zinc phosphate and the drawing media occurs, which results in an optimal performance regarding degree and rate of deformation
  • Can be used in very low concentrations of 5 - 10% as an aqueous solution (tube drawing). The best results are obtained with water free media
  • Offers (in combination with a zinc phosphate layer) very high cross-sectional reduction and high drawing velocities – up to 100 m/min (steel tubes with standard cross-sectional reduction)
